The Arc is active in legislative affairs and forums, community events and public services. Families and community members can elect to be kept informed of legislation pertaining to disability issues through becoming a member of The Arc and receiving newsletters. Through presentations on a variety of topics to service groups, clubs, and classes, The Arc educates the community on the needs of those with disabilities and family support. Topics vary from basic information about the organization and services offered, to Sensory Process Disorders. The Arc puts a strong focus on family fellowship through community events, seminars and other opportunities throughout the year.
